COSAGO Scholarship Award 2025
The Council of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Organizations, USA, Inc. (COSAGO) is proud to announce the 2025 COSAGO Scholarship Award, created in honor of our founding members, Dr. Errol G. King and Mr. Dollis Forbes. Their vision, leadership, and service continue to guide our mission to empower the Vincentian community through education and cultural advancement.
What You Need To Know About The Scholarship
The COSAGO Scholarship was established to support college-bound students of Vincentian heritage pursuing higher education at accredited institutions. This award recognizes academic excellence, leadership, community involvement, and cultural pride. It is both a tribute to our founders and an investment in the future of Vincentian youth striving to make meaningful contributions to society
- Scholarship Amount: USD $1,500
- Award Presentation: Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the SVG 46th Anniversary of Independence Luncheon at Russo’s on the Bay, Queens, NY
Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be of Vincentian heritage
- Graduate (or candidate for graduation) from an accredited high school
- Hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher (official transcripts required)
- Provide proof of acceptance into an accredited college or university
- Submit a typewritten essay (300-350 words) on their academic and career goals
- Demonstrate financial need
- Show evidence of extracurricular activities in school or the community
- Provide two letters of recommendation:
- One from a school official
- One from a community leader (e.g., church or civic leader) addressing integrity, character, and uniqueness
Application Requirements
Students must complete the official COSAGO Scholarship Application Form, which includes:
- Personal information and academic background
- GPA and standardized test scores
- Intended college and field of study
- Extracurricular activities and volunteer work
- A brief statement of financial need
- Career goals (2–3 outlined)
- A 300–350 word essay answering questions such as:
- Why are you pursuing your field of study?
- How do you plan to contribute to society?
Key Dates
- Application Deadline: September 20, 2025
- Interviews: Conducted by the COSAGO Selection Committee by September 29, 2025
- Award Ceremony: October 26, 2025, during the SVG Independence Luncheon
