Ancilla Friday is a dedicated community leader and professional with over thirty years of experience in the corporate arena and a profound commitment to service. Currently serving as the Assistant Director at an Older Adult Center, Ancilla has transitioned her career from her role as an Account Manager in Marketing to focus on enhancing the lives of older adults, reflecting her passion for community health and well-being.
As a Past President and current Vice President of St. Vincent Inc., an educational and cultural organization of Vincentian nationals, Ancilla plays a significant role in fostering cultural connections and community engagement. In addition, she serves as the Corresponding Secretary and is an active member of the Church Service Committee for COSAGO, further demonstrating her dedication to service and leadership.
A lifelong Anglican/Episcopalian, Ancilla’s faith is the cornerstone of her life. Inspired by the closing words of her Sunday Eucharist, “Go in peace to love and serve the Lord,” she embodies the spirit of service in all her endeavors, striving to do “all the good you can, whenever you can, and for whomever you can.” Her commitment to her church is evident through her active participation in the diocesan board, local church management team, and community board.
Academically, Ancilla holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration, a Master of Science in Community Health, and a Bachelor of Arts. She is also a licensed LA Broker in New York State and a Notary Public. Ancilla contributes to the democratic process as a supervisor for the New York Board of Elections, working diligently in Brooklyn during the Primary and General elections.
When she’s not immersed in her professional or community roles, Ancilla enjoys engaging in Bible study, showcasing her culinary talents, discussing current affairs, and cherishing moments with family and friends.
