New York alumnae of St. Vincent Girls’ High School in Kingstown, not Brooklyn Girls’ High.

Who they are

Girls High School Alumnae NY is the New York chapter of past students of St. Vincent Girls’ High School. Coverage in 2026 described more than four decades of work, about 45 years as of late 2025. Camille DeFreitas was named president. The chapter fundraises year-round so GHS students who need help can stay in school.

Scholarships

On 30 December 2025 the chapter awarded six students US$1,000 yearly scholarships plus laptops, expanded from an initial plan of two awards. Recipients named in that report: Raynice Ollivierre, Kaydee Mars, Chardonnay Baptiste, Layla Naert, Ariel Ralph, and K’Nia Findlay. Friends of Sion Hill has listed Girls High School Alumni among the Vincentian groups it supports, alongside COSAGO.

COSAGO, the Council of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Organizations, U.S.A., Inc., is the Brooklyn umbrella for Vincentian groups in the United States. Motto: Unity Is Our Goal · Service Our Aim. Member organizations share independence week with the Consulate General, Penn Relays support, humanitarian work, culture, and the memorial scholarship.
